# How to Use the AI Matching Assistant ("Help me match this")

The AI Matching Assistant helps you pick the right matching type for a bank transaction. You describe the transaction in your own words, and the assistant suggests a matching type and explains why. You review the suggestion and decide whether to apply it.

### Where can I find the AI Matching Assistant?
Open the **Match** dropdown on any transaction. **Help me match this** is the first option and has an AI label.
You can use it in two places:
* **Bank Movements**
* **Review & Match**, in the Overdue, Current and Next Month tabs

### How do I use it?
1. Open the **Match** dropdown on the transaction and select **Help me match this**.
2. Check the transaction details shown at the top: description, counterpart, date and amount.
3. Describe what the transaction is in plain language. You can write in English or Spanish.
4. Submit your description. The assistant shows a suggested matching type and the reason for it.
5. Review the suggestion. If it doesn't look right, add more detail to your description and re-analyse.
6. Apply the suggestion. The transaction is matched automatically and the assistant closes.

### How do I write a good description?
The suggestion is only as good as your description. Say what was paid or received, who the other party is, and why.

| Payment | Monthly subscription to our project management software |
| Transfer | Moving money from our company's Wise account to our company's Revolut account |
| Lunch | Personal lunch I paid with the company card by mistake |
| Money in | Payment from a client for the website we designed in September |

Tips:
* Name the type of counterpart: a client, a supplier, another account of your own company, the tax office or an investment platform.
* Say if an expense was personal rather than for the business.
* Avoid one-word descriptions such as "payment" or "transfer".

### Should I always apply the suggestion?
No. Always review the suggestion before you apply it. Unclear or incomplete descriptions can lead to a wrong suggestion.

### Does it work for crypto and investment transactions?
Yes, but review these suggestions with extra care. Crypto and investment platforms often use specialised terms that can lead to misleading suggestions.

### Does the assistant read my invoices or documents?
No. It only uses the transaction details and the description you write. If the matching type needs a document, such as a sales or purchase invoice, you still upload or select it as usual.

### Which languages can I use?
You can describe transactions in English or Spanish.
