How Do I Pay the Taxes After Companio Submits My VAT or TSD Reports?

Once Companio submits your VAT or TSD report, you may need to make a tax payment to the Estonian Tax Office, depending on your company’s activity during the period.

For example:

  • If you collected more VAT from customers than you paid on purchases, you must pay the remaining VAT.
  • If you distributed dividends or paid board salaries/employee salaries in Estonia, taxes may be due (TSD report).

Who Calculates How Much I Need to Pay?

Don’t worry — we will calculate the exact amount you need to pay. After your report is submitted, you will receive precise instructions by email on:

  • the exact tax amount to pay,
  • the payment deadline,
  • how and where to make the payment.

How Do I Make the Payment?

Your tax payment must be made via bank transfer. In the instructions you receive, we will provide:

  • The Tax Office bank account details.
  • A unique reference number assigned to your company (you must include it in the transfer — otherwise, your payment may not be recognized).
  • The concept/description you must use in the transfer.
  • A link to verify both your reference number and the official bank accounts of the Estonian Tax Office.

Your unique reference number is essential. Without it, the payment may not be correctly assigned to your company.

Important Payment Deadlines

To avoid penalties, remember these key dates:

  • TSD reports and payments: must be completed by the 10th of each month.
  • VAT reports and payments: must be completed by the 20th of each month.
