What Is the Estonian e-Residency?

The e-Residency of Estonia is a digital identity issued by the Estonian government that allows anyone in the world to start and manage an EU-based company completely online.

It provides a smart ID card with a secure chip and personal PIN codes to access Estonia’s digital services, sign documents online, and manage your business remotely.

Why Do I Need e-Residency to Use Companio?

Who Can Apply for e-Residency?

Anyone over 18 years old can apply for e-Residency. Minors can technically apply, but their use of the card is very limited. They cannot sign company documents or act as board members until they are legally adults.

Can Companio Apply for e-Residency for Me?

No, Companio cannot apply for e-Residency on your behalf, because the process involves personal identity verification by the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board.

These two programs are completely different.
