How Long Does It Take to Set Up my Estonian Company?
The time it takes to establish a company in Estonia with Companio varies depending on whether you are already an e-resident or not.
The process can be as short as a couple of days, including setting up a corporate bank account.
Especially efficient if you choose one of the solutions we collaborate with.
The process can take between 3 and 6 weeks.
The e-Residency application process itself can take between 3 and 5 weeks.
The process breakdown:
e-Residency Application: 3-5 weeks.
Company Registration: 1-2 business days.
Bank Account Opening: Can take only a few minutes with our collaborative solutions. With some banking solutions, Companio has an exclusive advisor with whom you can schedule a consultation to assist in the opening process. Please note that the opening times can vary depending on your chosen solution. While you must initiate the application, we can only assist or advise you. The final decision and timing for account opening depend entirely on the bank or corporate banking solution provider.
VAT Number Application: Normally within 24 business hours.
Important Note: some stages of the process require your active participation through the Companio company control panel. The sooner you complete each step, the sooner we can move on to the next.
Sure, that's not a problem. You can start the setup process of your Estonian company even if not all company members are e-residents. However, you can activate your company once you've digitally signed using your e-resident card. In other words, you can only invoice your clients or open a bank account once you have your e-resident card and complete the activation process.
You can proceed with the Estonian company registration process later when all company members become e-residents. Just remember to provide the members' birthdates to continue configuring your company on Companio in step 2.
