How to Create Your First Invoice With Companio?

To invoice your customers, you have two options:

Manually create and upload an invoice.

It's essential to include the following information in your sales invoices:

Full Name: Include the full name of the customer or entity you are invoicing.

Address: Specify the recipient's address.

Invoice Number: Assign a unique invoice number for easy tracking.

Invoice Issuance Date and Due Date: Mention the date of invoice issuance and the deadline for payment.

Price without VAT: State the total product or service amount before applying Value Added Tax (VAT).

VAT Details: If the invoice includes VAT, separate the VAT percentage and indicate the VAT amount. If there's no VAT, provide a clear explanation of the exemption.

Total Amount: Show the total amount for the products or services, including VAT and other relevant taxes or charges. Also, specify the currency (euros, dollars, etc.).

Enter the invoice number, currency, subject, issue date, and due date.

Check the corresponding option if you'd like to apply a late payment penalty. This will add 0.5% to the invoice for each day of delay in payment.

Select the pro forma invoice option if you prefer it, which is a provisional document detailing future commercial activity. It's not considered a real invoice and won't be recorded as accounts receivable or payable.

Add specific instructions for this invoice. If you have predefined instructions for this customer, they will load automatically. It helps indicate 8. measures in case of payment delays, for example.

Add the items for your products or services, specifying their quantity, Value Added Tax (VAT), and unit price. The total, including VAT, will be automatically calculated at the end.
