What’s a Residency Check?

To obtain e-Residency, Estonian authorities will review your background and request confirmation of your current place of residence, along with a photograph of your passport.

On an annual basis (or every 6 months if you are considered high-risk), you will need to report your current place of residence and provide a photograph of your passport to maintain the validity of your e-Residency. If you are a frequent traveler without a fixed address, you should provide the address that you consider your permanent one. This is important to ensure that they are aware of your location and can keep everything in order.
